সম্প্রতি ভারতের সেন্টার ফর সায়েন্স অ্যান্ড এনভায়রনমেন্টের (সিএসই) পলিউশন মনিটরিং ল্যাবে পরীক্ষা করা সবকটি ফেয়ারনেস ক্রিমেই পারদ পাওয়া গেছে ৪৪ শতাংশেরও বেশি।

প্রাথমিকভাবে এইসব ফেয়ারনেস ক্রিম ব্যবহারের ফলে সাময়িকভাবে ত্বকের রং কিছুটা ফর্সা হলেও দীর্ঘমেয়াদে ব্যবহার করলে ত্বকের ক্ষতি মোটামুটি নিশ্চিত। ত্বকের জন্য ক্ষতিকর এই সকল রং ফর্সাকারী ক্রিম ব্যবহারকারীরা ভাবতে পারেন এই ক্রিম ব্যবহারের ফলে তাদের ত্বকের রঙে পরিবর্তন এসেছে। আগের চেয়ে একটু ফর্সা দেখা যাচ্ছে। আসলে তাদের ত্বক ফর্সা নয় ফ্যাকাসে দেখা যাচ্ছে।

গবেষণায় দেখা গিয়েছে প্রায় সব ফর্সা হওয়ার ক্রিমেই মেশানো থাকে পারদ। যার থেকে ত্বকের অ্যালার্জি, র‌্যাশ, এমনকি প্রাণঘাতী ক্যান্সারও হতে পারে।

অধিকাংশ রঙ ফর্সাকারী পণ্যে মারকিউরাস ক্লোরাইডের মতো অ্যাকটিভ ইনগ্রেডিয়েন্টস ব্যবহার করা হয়, যা ত্বকের জন্য মারাত্মক ক্ষতিকর। মারকিউরাস ক্লোরাইড মূলত ব্লিচের কাজ করে, আর এটাই ক্ষতির কারণ হয়ে দাঁড়ায়। তাই এ ধরনের ক্রিম নিয়মিত ব্যবহার করলে ত্বক পাতলা হয়ে যায় ও টানটান ভাব হারায়। এতে ব্রণও সৃষ্টি হয়।

এছাড়াও ফেয়ারনেস ক্রিম ত্বককে ফটোসেনসেটিভ বা আলোক সংবেদনশীল করে তোলে। তাই এ ধরনের ত্বকে সূর্যের রশ্মি তুলনামূলক বেশি প্রভাব ফেলে এবং গুটি ও চুলকানি তৈরি হয়।

এছাড়া অনেক সংবেদনশীল ত্বকে অয়েল প্যাক, ফেশিয়াল কিংবা ম্যাসাজ করলেও পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া হওয়ার সম্ভাবনা বেশি থাকে।

ফর্সা হওয়ার ক্রিম কিংবা লোশনে অতিরিক্ত পর্যায়ে মেশানো হচ্ছে স্টেরয়েড। আর তা সম্পূর্ণ অবৈজ্ঞানিক পদ্ধতিতে ব্যবহার করা হচ্ছে। যার ফলে ত্বক উজ্জল করতে চর্মরোগের শিকার হচ্ছেন বহু নারীই।

এখন ভাবার বিষয় হচ্ছে আপনি আপনার নিজের আসল ত্বক নিয়ে খুশি থাকবেন নাকি এসব ক্ষতিকর জিনিসের ব্যবহারে মারাত্মক ক্ষতি ডেকে আনবেন।

Fans are worried about Leah Messer’s health after a few bikini photos surfaced online.
The Teen Mom 2 star posted the images on Instagram and looked thinner than ever in her bikini. Has she relapsed?

According to Hollywood Life, some fans were quick to skinny-shame Messer. Some fans pointed out how the reality star used to be thicker, which only sparked a debate about her body type.
“She needs some meat on her bones she doesn’t look healthy,” one fan commented.
“I just hope she is ok. She’s probably stressed!” another added. “This does not look healthy and neither do her teeth. I can see being concerned.”
Wonderwall, however, is reporting that other fans came to Messer’s defense, describing her as “beautiful,” “hardworking,” “amazing,” and “smart.”
“If I had three kids and looked like her. I would be one happy woman,” a fan wrote. “Maybe she has a health problem such as thigh roid problems..? You’ll never know cause it’s not your business as a fan. Get over yourself, grow up and find something better to do then rare someone else down.”
Messer also shared a photo on Instagram holding her niece, which didn’t draw the same amount of negative feedback.
Messer has responded to the allegations about her drastic weight loss. In fact, the reality star shared some harsh words about tabloids using old pictures of her to highlight the weight loss.
“I’m not sure I’ve LOST drastic weight, idiots,” Leah Messer stated. “The first picture is in 2011 right after my twins were born.”
